A Call to Action to work on dismantling the Cradle to Prison Pipeline, a Children’s Defense Fund report documenting an urgent national crisis at the intersection of poverty and race.  So many children, especially poor children of color, enter the world with multiple strikes already against them.  A Black boy born in 2001 has a 1 in 3 chance of going to prison in his lifetime; a Latino boy a 1 in 6 chance; and a White boy a 1 in 17 chance.  Learn more at www.citypeace.org/foundation/cradle.pdf or www.childrensdefense.org.
